The problem is that Sheila Jackson-Lee is a racist.

She was black? My wife and I didn’t even notice that nor remember it as such. But we did laugh our butts off when we saw the commercial during the Super Bowl.
Yup, leave it to true racists like Sheila Jackson-Lee to bring up the color of one’s skin in order to perpetuate her socialist myth of “victimhood.”
Cheers

Pepsi should strive to rise to her level of intelligence when she asked if the Mars explorer could get a picture of the flag left by the astronauts.

Lots of different opinions on FR. When the ad came out, a lot of Freepers were offended by the ad. Now, a lot of Freepers are offended because SJL was offended by the ad. I didn't see it. Haven't bought Pepsi since they changed their logo to an Obama ad.
I've always wondered what the reaction would have been to the movie "Men in Black" if Tommy Lee Jones had capped a cutout of a black girl and reasoned that "she was in a white neighborhood and her books were too advanced for her.

I thought the black woman was a parody of Moochelle keeping good food out of her husband’s mouth. The only thing missing was a big eared blue lipped ignoramus as her foil.

SJL sets back the black race a few years every time she opens her pie hole. Aren’t they embarrassed?

Not that the commercial was funny at all... But when you think about the Chuck-E-Cheese fight, and then the more recent IHOP fight (both can be found on YouTube) I don't see that the actions protrayed are all that far off of the mark.

How about it’s none of your business, Sheila.

Some needs to remind me-—use VERY small words, please, as I was educated in a one-room elementary school—just exactly why anything that Jackson-Lee says is relevant???
She can see black words typed on a piece of white paper & find racism in that, also.
She is an ignorant piece of trash. Her constituents needs some brain cleansing to get them to see her for what she really is.

Hey, you want equal rights - you got equal rights.
If the roles had been reversed, and a White woman had got hit in the head, no doubt everything would be jake...

I’m white and I did not like that commercial.

Jackson Lee said it was ridiculous for the soft drink maker to air the advertisement during African-American history month. Did I not get the memo that is is now African-American history month instead of Black History month?

Imho, it was a racist ad. It’s funny if a black woman hits a white woman in the head with a can of soda? Really?

No freakin’ sense of humor.
