From the various links, seems Progress Energy received a nice chunk of money from the stimulus.....as did Duke Energy Corp. Progress Energy wins $200M in stimulus funds for ‘smart grid’

So Ashley Turton is a lobbyist for Progress Energy, husband works with legislative affairs (Stimulus).....how convenient.

Progress Energy is to use the $200 M to build a "green Smart Grid virtual power plant through conservation, efficiency, and load shaping technologies including installation of 160,000 meters across its multi-state area."
