Well, here is what bothers me deeply about the direction Israel herself is heading:
The Lebanon War
At one time the IDf and IAF would have made short work of the terrorists, this past time they did not show the resolve they had previously, they hung back and tried to use artillery and air strikes and it just did not work.
That was a wake up call for me, have the Israelis lost that sense of what it takes just to survive in that region?
Jorge was President back then, Like HUSSEIN is President now.
They rely on our aid and assistance and are reluctant to be overly aggressive if the Idiot-in-Charge in the Oval Office has a love affair with people like the Saudis.
They are stuck between a rock and a hard place with Obama as they were with his predecessor.
I have no doubt that confidential conversations telling the Israelis to STOP were given by all our so-called leaders.
Clearly, Iran is the leash holder of the Hezbollah dog, and should have been stopped then and there. Instead, not just Israel, but our leaders ALSO, did not rain ruin on them, but allowed them to have great success, thus emboldening them for future attacks.
Surely the wrong signal to send, no?
Hezbollah wasn't reeled in, but Israel was. What a messed up world!
They didn't want to do anything that would have given the US a reason to cut their aid package. Cutting off aid would have the good result of allowing them to do what they feel is necessary without concern for what the US State Dept has to say.
As far as Rand Paul: he want to cut ALL foreign aid. The MSM is just harping about the Israeli part to drive a wedge between Paul and pro-Israel conservatives.
