I thought I would share a cross post, in the hopes that it will give a tiny grain of hope.

Something really interesting that you folks may be interested in. I've been "conversing" with a number of people involved in the Tahrir situation, and of course the Muslim Brotherhood has been coming up.

Almost to a one they have told me this is NOT about the Muslim Brotherhood.

Obviously, we would expect them to say that. So I have posed the following question to them all:

Do you understand why we are worried about the Muslim Brotherhood's involvement?

The best response, which essentially sums up all the rest, is:

"They r afraid of them because their so called religion thoughts &directions. But we don't like them here in Egypt, The most of us"

Sure, we are all concerned that the Muslim Brotherhood will take advantage of this. They very well might. I'M afraid of it. And we know what it means for the world. But there is one thing being made VERY clear to me, and that is if the Muslim Brotherhood DOES take over, they had to fight tooth and nail for every inch. THAT should give us some hope.

Exactly why this should not be that difficult for a great President; a little sweet diplomacy for public ears.

a) We are very concerned about the difficulties being faced by the people of Egypt.
b) Egypt has been a great friend to the America for many years, and our heart goes out to the Egyptian people in these difficult times.
c) We have absolute respect for Egypt’s rights as a sovereign nation, one of which is to govern itself.
d) We stand ready to help in any way we can, but only if we are asked.
e) America, as well as every freedom-loving nation, stands by the cause of freedom for all who seek it, and we pray that the good people of Egypt will be successful in working together in peace towards the freedoms they desire.

Doesn’t that sort of cover it ? That didn’t take long.
