Bachmann: There's Tea Party 'Buzz' In Hawaii
Honolulu Civil Beat ^ | 2/2/11 | Chad Blair

Posted on 02/02/2011 8:27:31 PM PST by pissant

The queen of the Tea Party knows how to deliver a stump speech, and the more than 200 people who turned out to hear Michelle Bachmann in person Wednesday at the Ala Moana Hotel were not disappointed.

Organized by the free-market "think tank" Grassroot Institute of Hawaii and attracting a good many local Republicans, Bachmann charged her supporters to rise up and fight for the foundations of the nation: inalienable rights of life and liberty that can't be touched by the government.

"The Tea Party movement as I define it is a rejection of the Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda," she said. "You are the Tea Party ... It's a broad swath of America — it's huge! It's in every region not just north and south but every part of the United States."

In reflection, Ron Paul certainly would have made a better president, but looks and winning over the media means everything..now the Ron Paul types are “in favor”. Sometimes people are just ahead of their time..Geek is In.

Thanks for the response, and good morning.

There may be a problem with your assumption, the assumption being you are speaking to someone in a simple debate.

The man is not interested in debate, rather he is only interested in his own personal agenda. When he has one, he goes to great lengths to spread it, beyond emotion, beyond what a normal rational poster ought to do.

I'm relatively convinced he is one of two things. 1. He's possibly a Moby, who loves to sow deceit and division. 2. He's truly short a few parts in gray matter and emotional stability. A combination of these two is quite possible. Trying to be rational in the face of those alternatives makes no sense to me.

You can debate and give reasons till the earth runs out of oxygen, and you will get nowhere.

Insofar as his backing of Bachmann, if you have seen his posts then you know he doesn't back her as much as he simply backs anyone that will help his agenda to take down Sarah Palin. Bachmann just happens to be the reason du jour for him right now.

Palin is McCain in a skirt.

I must have not been paying attention, because other than her backing McCain for reelection (loyalty is a respected trait, even when not fully warranted) I don't see it that way. Will you please state a few facts that lead you to this conclusion?

Never mind, I just got down to your #26. My only counter to it is that I believe that she is a person capable of putting personal feelings aside and doing the will of the people.

Bachmann knows she could never be elected President.

She is doing this to get her name and positions out there so she will be considered as a VP for whoever the dems and the media choose for the GOP candidate.

Palin is McCain in a skirt.

That's the poster living out one of his fantasies, and his subtle way of coming out of the closet.

Republicans in Hawaii, Who knew?

Maybe they can inquire how a candidate that is unable to provide verifiable proof of meeting the constitutional requirements for the office of POTUS is allowed to get on the ballot in Hawaii in the first place.

Nah - my assumption is that entering a debate will benefit others who read the posts - not the person I’m debating with.

Sometimes, the high road is what gets the interest of the undecided, and uninformed.

Have a great day.

Palin is McCain in a skirt.

Remember the differences during the election--
Palin Goes Rogue

...was headlined all over the media..for example just one: News
You can Google the phrase.

Palin was blamed by some of the McCain folk for their loss..the Left loved playing that up. If it is not Bush's fault it is Palin's fault..................

I know. I like her OK. I don’t like McCain. But I have to keep the Palinistas on their toes.

I hope that Michele Bachmann announces that she will run for POTUS; I also hope that many other conservatives will announce the very same!! I've watched Bachmann handle Mr. Chrissy tingle up his leg Matthews for over two years; he fixated & obsessed with Rep. Bachmann and she is utterly impervious & imperturbable.

However, until either Michele or Sarah FORMALLY ANNOUNCE ... I'm not participating anymore.

This thread was simply VILE.

Utterly disgusting, like people are taking lessons from Chrissy Matthews and Keithie Olbermann.

Hopefully the actually primary season will not continue in similar vein, but maybe everyone actually posting to these threads actually WANTS BHO to WIN 2012.

See ya later alligators, LOL

I've had it.... I'm not subjecting myself to a buncha cybertrolls who hate Michele Bachmann and are posers as conservative. That's INSANE

..and that Ladies and Gentlemen is how you get the name: Pissant. :)

I understand the toes part. I got reaction as well..as I do not see Gov Palin as President. The new governor of Maine or NJ is how I want my next leader to speak and carry out that which was promised.

You know I still think about Deep River and Lachlan Cranswick. I just can't believe it really turned out that way.

There may be a day in the far future when more details become known, IYKWIM, it still seems very suspicious to me.

TTYL, I’m gone until there’s some serious action on the part of REAL candidates. And maybe even beyond.....

BYE.
