So would the “death panels”.

How much of a stretch is there from “keep working until you die” to “be old and get seriously sick, and you die”?

This is going to turn out just like the drinking age when I was younger.

Grew up in Illinois and when I was 18 the drinking age was raised from 19 to 21.
