You assume his gun was legal ... making something illegal doesn’t necessarily eliminate it (e.g., marijuana, heroin, child porn, rape, assault, shoplifting, murder). I own a number of guns, and I have never struck anybody on the head with one . . . I don’t even know anybody who’s ever struck anybody over the head with a gun . . . I don’t know anybody who’s ever struck a woman, period . . .
I was being facetious. The joke was that he used the blunt end of the gun, and could have just as easily hit her with a tire iron, sledge hammer or sack of pennies.
Of course, the attack will turn up in the stats about gun violence, even though there is no evidence that the perp turned the business end of the gun towards her.
