I had a long debate with a Massachusetts liberal yesterday about gun control. When push came to shove, he couldn’t rebut any of my arguments (’When seconds count, the police are minutes away’). It came down to a simple emotion on his part, and I quote “Guns scare me.”
Guns scare him? Well, he can always ask the criminal to be quick about it and if it’s one of those compassionate criminals, it’ll all be over in a second and he won’t be scared anymore.

The gun in the hands of the person trying to hurt him or the gun in his own hands???
