Leave Tunisia, Rabbi. Come to Israel, where Jews shoot back.
For a few years so did the Jews and Berbers. A Jewish Berber given the title Kahina (priestess) unified and then led the Berbers of North Africa in expelling a Muslim invasion around 680 CE. Unfortunately, she misunderstood the Muslims. She thought they were normal raiders looking for booty. She ordered the cities leveled and farms destroyed. The settled Berbers switched sides or stayed neutral after the property was destroyed. Her forces were defeated and she chose death over conversion or servitude.
