I hope that Brian prevails in the appeal.

The frustrating part is even if this is overturned on appeal, BOTH the corrupt and incompetent Judges and Prosecutor will skate and as they have "immunity" nothing can be done to seek redress for their obviously having intentionally ignored and circumvented "The Law" and Constitution, simply to convict an "innocent" person.
Sadly, this is being replicated throughout our Republic and as it stands now (unless the State Prosecutors are elected...fogetabout the US Attorneys) there is little anyone can do about it.
Ditto, Judges!

I hope the NRA takes this case and spends the money for the lawyers to exonerate him.

It’s tricky for gun owners (legal ones) to move from a semi-free state to a commie state. I had to deal with this when I moved from Wisconsin to New York. Seven years later my handguns are still in a secure location in WI and I am still in NY. NY’s unconstitutional pistol permit laws are to blame. This s*** needs to change.

The name of the judge and prosecutor who were responsible should have been in the article so that payback can be delivered during the next election or impeachment.

From the article:
The family also asked New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for clemency, and ABC News reported that Governor Christie gave them their wish, signing the order in December that commuted Brians sentence to time served. They need to get the superior court judge responsible for withholding the exemption statute from the jury removed from the bench, pronto.

"After Nappen raised the moving-exemption issue, the jury even asked the judge for the exemption statute several times, and the judge refused to hand it over to them."
It is a sad state of affairs when after being denied the ability to see the law they had requested to see there there wasn't even one juror out of twelve who had the intelligence and/or fortitude to give the defendant the benefit of the doubt due to him, and at least produce a hung jury.
Cordially,

The jury failed here, they should have had the common sense to find the man not guilty. There is nothing the judge could have done about that.

I listened to this man’s plight on the NRA Radio program. He is out on appeal now. If there was ever a comparison to the Nazi regime, this is it.
