Trump is nothing but a democrat leftist, while - agree with what he says he is trying to set himself up with some conservative creds before his run as a republican in order to split the conservative/republican vote in 2012.

Not me, I read his book, or at least the first couple of chapters. He is a big government socialist, now seeking conservative creds to split our vote and assure an Obama win in 2012.

Would there BE a split vote if he didn’t get the nomination? Or even if he did? I don’t know that an independent would get any more support with a Trump ticket than any other.

He’s written a few books. Which one are you referring to?

Written by him and another guy about why he wants us all to be rich.

If you know anything about donald “I’m bankrupt again” trump then you know he’s a democrat idiot. He supported Obama and now 50k to Rahm.

He’s an idiot, and no being rich doesn’t exclude him from that group.

And who do you support for mayor, Carol Mosely Braun? Obviously, you’re not from Chicago.

Which I clearly don't. I don't believe I gave the impression that I did. As I said earlier, which may have been lost in the thread, I am in the "intrigued and curious" stage. I had opted to have NO interest in him before, because he was "trendy" due to his TV show. It made me waver between disliking him and not giving a rat's... well. Anyway, the point is that this is a new consideration, and it's interesting. Even that which is undesirable can be interesting. I'm not convinced either way.

Do you not know the title of the book?

Sarah Palin would make a great President. I love her philosophies. But we have a media that will and has ignored Obama’s visits to all “57” states and focused on Palin’s reference of South America being a “nation”.

Back in 2000 we were looking for a candidate that talked like us, the Americans wanted someone who used words we used and did not talk like a lawyer. And (in my opinion) the right guy won.

But now, Americans are fearful for the future, we're losing globally and they want someone who is articulate and will not have to run to the morning new hour programs to explain what they meant the night before during a debate or someone who blames the media for every misspoken word. We know the media is leftist but we're going to need a candidate who's on his/her feet during the debate and be more articulate than Obama during the debates and have the facts, the data, the numbers to discredit him live on stage during the debate and not the day after in a “what I should have said” morning show interview.

I support Palin but I'm not looking forward to the run if she is the nominee. Hopefully all the candidates on our side are preparing themselves.

I think it is something like, “Why We Want You to be Rich” maybe it’s I instead of we.

LOL, that’s great. I didn’t realize you WERE trying to give me the title.

I’ll look for that book. Worth a read.

Why? The establishment and the media are going to try to make foolish any Republican candidate .

Any word uttered by a Republican will be scrutinized and torn apart while they let the slip ups 0 go (57 states , my muslim faith etc etc etc)

Sarah Palin is no fool and she has learned much since the last election. She doesn’t need the press as she is right now currently by passing them and still getting her message out.

She is what the country needs and if they don’t elected her they are going to get what they deserve.

Unfortunately; the rest of us get dragged down with them...

I like Trump, but wouldn’t vote for him. What’s “illegal” about those men in the ME price-fixing petroleum? And his sister a judge, how embarrassing.
Besides, he’s not really running. He’s playing the media. It’s what he does.

Less of a chance getting dragged down betting on her as she is better vetted than any in our history.

There are no surprises as they have already dragged everything out and it just made the people like her even more.

And the #1 reason to choose her is they are AFRAID of her.

I disagree with Trump about OPEC. Trump says that if OPEC breaks up, then oil prices will go down. That simply won’t happen. Most of the 12 OPEC nations are struggling financially...they need oil prices to stay where they are or go up. If OPEC breaks up only Saudia Arabia has the ability to significantly increase their production. Meanwhile, oil global consumption is increasing every day. Unless there is a non-OPEC supplier that is prepared to significantly increase oil production then the price of crude will not go down.

I’m curious how many people on FR would support Mr. Trump if he were to run.

I would support him for the position of Economic Adviser to President Palin!

Totally agree. Someone besides Palin who dares criticize obama. Then we had Boehner yesterday praising the way obama is handling the Egypt mess. If it turns out badly, he’s on record agreeing with him.

Trump is a big fish in the Manhattan pond. Get him out in the real world and his pronouncements are just blather.

The real estate market, which is all he knows, is slow and he is being forced to find something to do to escape boredom.

He deserves no consideration
