It has been known as a biological fact for about 30 years now that all humans are born genetically black, but some of us carry a recessive gene for dilution of melanin, resulting in a lighter skin coloring.

You said recessive gene not mutant gene. Demonstrating a recessive gene does not mean that you are born the dominant gene. Recessive genes are actually as strong as dominant genes. I have never heard this "fact" about all babies being born genetically black and tried to google any information concerning this "fact" and could find nothing even remotely akin to anything like it. Please give reference for your "fact". Also there are many characteristics that are generally different between whites and blacks other than just melanin.

The recessive gene is a result of mutation. So are blue eyes.
