White House official cites ‘education problem’ on climate

President Obama’s top science adviser said there’s a need to “educate” GOP climate change skeptics on Capitol Hill as the White House seeks to advance its green energy agenda.

“It is an education problem. I think we have to educate them,” said John Holdren, who heads the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, in an interview broadcast Sunday.

Obama, in his State of the Union speech last week, called for deriving 80 percent of U.S. power from "clean" sources by 2035, and funding increased R&D of green electricity and fuels by repealing billions of dollars in oil industry tax breaks.

But the effort comes as a substantial number of GOP lawmakers, such as House Science, Space and Technology Committee Chairman Ralph Hall (R-Texas), are questioning climate science.

Holdren, asked about advancing Obama’s agenda in the face of skepticism, said the scientific evidence of dangerous human-induced climate change is powerful. “The science of climate change is really very clear in its essentials,” Holdren said on Platts Energy Week.

Well Ernest. Let us hope we continue to hear such weeping from this mis-directed people. The more they eventually discover the non-scientific methods and politics that created this horrible scam on mankind the better off all of us will be.

Let us hope these poor misguided people will gain a full appreciation as to what the global warming scam entails. I doubt it, but what the heck. As millions of people are re-educated with the facts, the GW and AGW adherents will no longer have a leg to stand on.
And of course during the extended and more brutal winters that will encompass both the northern and southern hemispheres for perhaps a decade or more... less people are going to be willing to think there are any prospects of some global warming period taking place.
I am sure those folks in South America who saw snow for the first time in their lives, and huge fish, reptile kill offs, for two years straight in southern Australia seeing snow fall in the start of their summers... blah blah..blah, don't think there is a global warming crisis. Not to mentioned the thousands that have frozen to death over the past few winters in Europe, Russia, Asia and elsewhere with terrible long brutal cold extended winters, thinking the same.
Goldman Sachs, GE, and the world's big banks, industries and all the governments, enviro groups etc., are going to see there is a falling out from this world wide scam.
And for them. Hopefully they all will lose really large sums of money. Their monies where invested in lies. Let them pay the price. And yes I can see many different scenarios develop from those ramifications. But to bet on a lie is just that. A lie. And all of them had opportunities to carefully review the known facts over many years.
So many choose not to.

Holdren is a kook who thinks he's smart and has all the power of a top US official and no oversight. THAT is a situation that concerns me.
