Good plan. .22 ammo by the case, f’rinstance. Can’t eat gold; I suppose you could make bullets out of it but they wouldn’t be very good ones.

Actually, a gold bullet would be almost exactly the same as lead. However, nothing but an idiot would do that, remembering that even in an Egyptian style meltdown, the gold becomes very very useful after the gunfire stops.

Buy lead in reasonable amounts, store a few months of food, (easy to do) And then the silver and gold.
