As most, if not all of you know, our FReepathon was immediately suspended when Jim informed us of the sad news that his cherished sister had passed away last Tuesday evening.

We all prayed for Jim and his grieving family and for his sweet sister's soul, knowing now, she is with Him in everlasting life, singing with the Angels.

Thank you all for your prayers and sweet sentiments. Jim read them all with deep and sincere appreciation.

Jim has asked me to revive the FReepathon, so please, dear FReepers, Let's GIR R DONE & PUT THIS BABY TO BED!

Like to told somebody yesterday. That life is grueling. Hubby went through 64 musicians over those 8 years. We had some wonderful adventures, yes, but we also saw some hard times. All of our income was from gig to gig. If somebody canceled you were out of luck. Contracts are worth about as much as the paper they are written on. That is the reason he concentrated on military clubs. The checks didn’t bounce. In CA, we played in Sacramento, Edwards AFB, San Francisco and some place in the valley I can’t recall. We played West Point officer’s club, Air Force Academy’s officer’s club, Navel Academy officer’s club, Andrews AFB, Travis AFB in TX. Actually I don’t think we missed a single AFB in the lower Forty eight. Well, they were the Lower Forty, Ha. They fronted for George Jones and many others, Played on WSM in Nashville and Ernest Tubbs Record Shop. Never made the Grand Ole Opry. Could have if they had concentrated on that area instead of being on the road all the time. Hubby was all about making a living, not being famous. My favorite place in the U.S.? Teton Village, WY. We played the Mangy Moose there. Loved WY. Gardsky’s Loft in Amarillo, TX was a favorite place to play. Grand Isle, AL was great. Gee, I’m recalling too much, I could take up gigabites for days, but you get the picture.
