As most, if not all of you know, our FReepathon was immediately suspended when Jim informed us of the sad news that his cherished sister had passed away last Tuesday evening.
We all prayed for Jim and his grieving family and for his sweet sister's soul, knowing now, she is with Him in everlasting life, singing with the Angels.
Thank you all for your prayers and sweet sentiments. Jim read them all with deep and sincere appreciation.
Jim has asked me to revive the FReepathon, so please, dear FReepers, Let's GIR R DONE & PUT THIS BABY TO BED!

Exactly. I'm not sure there's much meat on them, thoughRight, and let's not ask.

I was thinking that too. I had 8 turkeys eating under my bird feeders and deer amble past my window all the time. I rather thought it could be a good thing.

I think you’re right. Turtle soup was considered a delicacy at one time.

You’re in the Eastern time zone, IIRC, so you have another hour or so before darkness really sets in?
Raining all day here with gray skies and no sun. Dreary when I went to Church and even darker on my way home. I will be very happy when we return to daylight savings time

Have you ever heard of Lake Chargagagogchabunagungamog? It’s near Webster. It’s called Indian Lake. Hubby’s band used to play there every summer. Fronted for a lot of Nashville bands.

From Wikipedia:
Turtle soup is soup or stews made from the flesh of the turtle. The dish exists in many cultures and is viewed as a luxury or delicacy. The green turtle was commonly used for turtle soup in the United States and United Kingdom. Soup made from the snapping turtle was found mainly in the United States. Chinese and other East Asian cuisines use primarily soft-shelled turtles for turtle soup.
