1510 Mohamed Mahmud Sami, a political prisoner held at Cairo’s Abu Zaabal prison for the past 17 years, tells BBC Arabic: “Around 120 prisoners have taken control of this ward, the security forces are trying to storm in, but we can see that the soldiers are reluctant to fire at us, as if they want to side with the revolting people of Egypt.”
