really? you want a new german army? a new Japanese army? that worked out great last time. embrace your destiny. we are the empire and yes we can and must afford it. we are the people who pay a very high price for peace for most of the world.

Who should pay for the maintenance of the American Empire you dream about - our grandchildren or American taxpayers?

Time and time again the citizens of empires have thought theirs indispensable to humanity and indestructible. This led them to embrace policies that proved both of those assumptions wrong.

We are bankrupt! The US cannot afford to do this anymore. Germany can take care of itself. People hanging onto the 1950s concept of the American “empire” need to get a grip. 1.5trillion budget deficits are not compatible with EMPIRE, they’re not even compatible with survival of the country.
