Joe Walsh seems to be a good guy and is entitled to his opinion, so I don't think we should call for the tar and feathers quite yet.

If he's referring to himself, Bachmann, and Ryan when he says "we're all Republicans", fine.

But even when represented by a strong Conservative like Rep. Paul Ryan, he should know that "we" are most definitely NOT "all Republicans"...and that the Republican party is on probation with most of us. Failure to follow the course outlined by Michelle Bachmann will be at their own peril.

He needs to stop starting every sentence with “I mean...” Makes him sound high school.

That's fine but is he saying that there is only one person allowed to speak for the party on any given night? Didn't any other congressmen go before the cameras that night and offer their "opinion" of the Obama SOTU speech? I would think that the more the merrier in getting out the tea party message. And for the record, Bachmann was asked to speak to a specific group, it was the media themselves who "inserted" themselves into the story. I also hope Paul Ryan is tough enough to handle a Bachmann speech because this isn't about him, Joe Walsh or even Michelle Bachmann. This is about defeating the enemy. Let's keep our eyes on the ultimate goal, defeating the obama agenda.

Even if you think Michelle Bachman was wrong to let her speach be construed as the Tea Party response to SOTU, this guy is VERY STUPID to go on public record like this criticizing her.

Wasn’t there enough in Obama’s record to criticize without turning on Bachman?

Sounds like the new McCain, angling for media exposure. Whether that’s true or not, it sure sounds like it.

Ergo, stupid.

So what? You can’t argue with a sick mind.

But seriously, folks...there goes the neighborhood.

I think it was a distraction that she did it, and it was just fodder for the media to do as you just said. To try to create this separation within the party.”
********************************************************

Yes, Walsh and you create more separation by playing into media schemes—like commenting negatively on a radio program about Bachmann’s actions.

Perhaps with the Tea Party Caucus...
“Tea Party Caucus is a caucus of the United States House of Representatives launched by Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann on July 16, 2010”

and having folks who donate to it...

“top contributors to the Tea Party caucus members are health professionals, retirees, the real estate industry and oil and gas interests.”

Perhaps Michelle felt an obligation to address the Tea Party, since there is no Congressman (TP)—the Tea Party doesn’t have to play 2nd fiddle just because it’s what the Republicans dictate—to feel special like a bride.

The Tea Party wanted a response for the Tea Party and asked Michele do give it, I would have thought her an azz if she refused.

I'm a Tea Partier. I attend Tea Parties. I'm on my local Tea Party emailing list. I attend the meetings. I contribute.

I was not in favor of the timing of Rep. Bachmann's speech.....as great as the content was.

I also do not like the idea of Tea Party caucuses on the Hill.

The beauty and glory of the Tea Party is its independence, no affiliation with an existing political party, not being personality-driven by political celebrities, not being identified with GOP pols in the loathed D.C...... and not cohering into an organized standing target by its enemies.

All day yesterday, on EVERY half-hour spot of network radio news in my area I heard the announcer state that "the GOP response will be given by Paul Ryan and Michele Bachmann". Read that again.

I'm a Freeper, I'm here, I'm clear....I'm Tea Party all the way....and I'm with good guy Joe Walsh.

He was seeing beyond one night.

Hey Walsh, why aren’t you talking about the Obamacare waivers instead of attacking one of your own? Ohio has a waiver, means Obama won’t have to defend Obamacare in the keystate.

“I mean there is no more Tea Party freshman on the planet than myself,”

Obviously not true now.

“but I’ll be the first to say, respectfully, Michele had no business making that speech last night,”

According to whom? According to what standard?

“I mean Paul Ryan gave the Republican response. We’re all Republicans. I think it was a distraction that she did it,”

Hey Joe - we’re really not that distracted and another thing - we can hear both sides and figure out stuff too!

“and it was just fodder for the media to do as you just said. To try to create this separation within the party.”

Erm... there IS a separation within the party - get on the right side quickly...

Looks like the DC Republican, higher-up “in crowd” has destroyed the mind of Walsh. Sounds like a good “party man” already! If he begins fighting Grahamnesty for room in the McCain butt-kissing arena, we’ll know for sure!

As much as I love Michelle Bachmann and though she gave a dynamic speech, I happen to agree with Walsh. But people should follow Ronald Reagan’s advice, “If you can’t say something nice about a [Tea Party] Republican then you shouldn’t say anything.”

Republicans can love Paul Ryan and Michelle Bachmann equally and at the same time.

Okay, does that mean that Rand Paul shouldn’t have delivered his reponse to the SOTU either? Tell Walsh to shut up and sit down.

It seems that the people who post here know little about Joe Walsh other than he may have said something critical about the timing of Michelle Bachman’s speech. I suggest you do some research before you jump to conclusions.

Joe Walsh will be a great asset to the conservative cause.
