American Thinker ran an interesting piece today entitled “The Birther Trial Balloon” by Cindy Simpson.
In it, Simpson makes the case that hiding Obama’s birth certificate is part of some scheme for his re-election campaign: ie, to create a mystery just so Americans can be fascinated by it, then produce the document at the last minute to make conservatives look bad for asking to see it in the first place.
Just three short years ago, of course, I would have said that was ridiculous, but very little about the Obama administration or the things it does makes any sense.
For Simspon’s theory to be accurate, however, Obama, David Axelrod, and the rest would have had to conspire on this many, many years ago, hiding his birth certificate just so it could be used in a crazy scheme for his re-election bid in 2012. They also would have had to keep it hidden through his 2008 election bid, having masterfully laid down this future trap with re-election in mind.
Everyone involved with the Obama White House has proven they aren’t that smart.
Obama himself was a D student at Columbia and Harvard (produce his transcripts and prove me wrong). Axelrod is a master manipulator and inventor of astroturfing, but he’s not a psychic genius.
Obama’s just benefitting from conservatives’ constant fear of the media, in this issue and with everything else.

McCain was and is eligible, no mater where he was born. His father was abroad in the service of the US Government. And both ma and pa were citizens.
I think you are right that Abercrombie bought the WH lies about Obama. By now, Dems thought they would have such a hold on the U.S. that they would never have to face the truth of their treason. They would throw everyone under the bus who even tried to get in their way—including military officers, judges and SCOTUS.
Thank God for the Tea Party patriots who sacrificed so much to enlighten the voters. They are the only reason we still have a chance to defeat the Commie Obamie.

There is so much research that has been done (and SAVED) in the blogosphere concerning details of everything WRONG with his “history” that he would need more than 2 years to cover it with deception that would only convince his most rabid supporters that he is suspect.

If McCain were eligible, why pass HR 511, and why did Repubs sign it as if needed? They should have refused. If there was any question about his birth in the Republic of Panama hospital (not the US military hospital), they should have nominated someone else to ensure they were not violating the Constitution.
Their failure to do so, left them wide open to charges of being bought to keep silent, and makes them as guilty as Dems. The whole issue of eligibility is a tangle of interpretations and findings, Vattel’s info and various rulings, including Taitz, Berg and Apuzzo, not yet settled by the SCOTUS, who refuse to touch it.
Why does Congress do 90% of what they do? Beats the hell out of me.

IMO most congressmen are there to enrich themselves and know or care little about what most of us go through. Look at their perks and their salaries they set themselves.
I thought the March 12, 2008 closed session would scare some of them straight. Steny Hoyer told them about the currency collapse, etc. Who told him? Soros? The run on banks happened in Oct. 2008 conveniently before the election. Bush had Paulson make a plan back in March. TARP was ready for the $500 billion run. The IMF told the US back in 2007 to switch accounting methods from “hold to paid for, or a rise in value” to “mark to market” accounting in which something’s value was what it was immediately, at that moment. Soros had been chair of the IMF at one time. We are at the mercy of the money-changers more than we know, especially since Obama sold us to the Chinese.
Lots of people on the right thought George W Bush was just faking being a liberal and was going to one day do the head fake and go hard-core conservative and show how conservatives fix things.

Yes, it has been a nightmare the past 4 years. I wish I could say it doesn’t phase me, but I lie awake at night wondering when the next crisis “happens.”
It is comforting to know that Summers, Axelrod, Emanuel, Van Jones, and Carol Brouner are leaving the WH, and we have regained the House. But Obama can veto any bill and his courts can stop investigations. I pray he will be slowed enough for our nation to survive and that the new reps will have the guts to stand up to him and his czars.

Gov. George Romney was born in Mexico, while his parents -- both American citizens -- were doing missionary work.
There was no challenge to his eligibility when he ran for the Presidency in 1968.
What matters is the parents. They can be on official US government business or they can be tourists. If the parents are Americans, so is the brat, and from birth, making him Natural Born.
Of course, the kid's NBC status comes from being a citizen by reason of birth, as opposed to immigration / naturalization. That has the inconvenient side effect of also including Zero, should he not be shown to have been born abroad to unqualified parents (not going to happen, Abercrombie notwithstanding).
Of course, some of the nuttier birthers are on the same side as Janet Napolitano when it comes to the military. They'd like to exclude from the highest office military brats born abroad.
The Supreme Court would have to determine his Natural Born Citizen status. Citizen parents in service to their country— military, diplomat, etc. would be the only exceptions, IMO.
I would err on the side of caution until they require potential Presidential candidates to pass a stringent security clearance test.
