His call to end subsidies for oil companies to give to alternative fuels research was STUPID !!!
What do ya think is gonna happen ???
Oil companies will raise the price of oil, which will NOT ONLY raise the price of gasoline for consumers, but will raise the price of producing ALL goods and services, which in turn will raise the price OF EVERYTHING for the consumer.
Its no different than Cap & Trade - politicians may be able to claim that they didn’t raise taxes, but it IS STILL money out-of-pocket for “Joe Six-Pack” ...
It is one thing to allocate more money for research [as long as you take it from non-essential programs], but to take money away from the life blood of the economy and give to research that MIGHT [OR MIGHT NOT] work is INSANE !!!
Now he is going to tell us what a success the NEW NATO is.
I wonder what kind of energy they use to run solar panel factory’s? Maybe they use wind? Or Unicorn farts....
I think also at one point he said we needed to “stop giving money” to the oil companies or some such thing.
As if giving them tax breaks (i.e. giving them back a portion of what THEY earned) was “giving them money.”
