Tobacco Smoke Enema (1750s-1810s)
The tobacco enema was used to infuse tobacco smoke into a patient's rectum for various medical purposes, primarily the resuscitation of drowning victims. A rectal tube inserted into the anus was connected to a fumigator and bellows that forced the smoke towards the rectum. The warmth of the smoke was thought to promote respiration, but doubts about the credibility of tobacco enemas led to the popular phrase "blow smoke up one's ass."

definitely will not watch Obama. I’m thinking of watching Paul Ryan and Michele Bachman. I believe CNN will carry her speechJust heard that this speech is going to be a long one, he's undoubtedly hoping to put everyone to sleep so they won't be awake to hear the Ryan and Bachmann's responses.

IIRC, ABC News had the tapes first. They were for sale on the church’s website. Hannity dug into them and the rest is history. Well, that narrows it down. I don't watch ABC, so it had to be Hannity or an article on FR that clued me in. Since I come to FR more than Fox, I will give the credit to FR. That's just one of the reasons that I donated to FR.

I read Schumer took a personal shot at Ryan today. I wonder if Coburn will ask him about it? This whole seating arrangement is a joke. It’s just camouflage for the weakened dims and a GOP attempt to spoon pablum to the “moderate” voters. God help us.

Hard to believe there are still people out here that trust either of these political parties.
I consider it very similar to battered wife syndrome. Some people just enjoy getting beaten repeatedly.
