I believe that if it were shown to the public that Obama was not ‘technically’ eligible by the Constitution for POTUSA there would be a swelling of public opinion to correct that ‘technicality’ because my faith is that our Constitution is meaningful to most people. If I’m wrong then we can kiss all the spirit behind the demonstations on the 4th of July goodby and our Constitution as well. If it is shown or indicated that Obama is not even a citizen of the USA the swelling would be much more. In either case the public would be made aware that there are very pervasive forces nationally and internationally that want to change this great Nation away from the ‘Spirit of 76’. To paraphrase Patrick Henry somewhat I say “ Give me a truely eligible President or give death to the Constitution of our Founders”
But how would you show that0bama isn't a citizen? Would someone 'dig up' a foreign birth certificate and send it in the Fox News so that Glen Beck or Bill O'Reilly could wave the birth certificate around...only to have the birth certificate proven false in a reverse Dan Rather manner.
Lets face it, folks, the left felt like it was trapped by the Dan Rather/National Guard incident in 2004 and would dearly love to turn the tables on Fox news, some of the conservative blogs and talk radio. What better way to do it than create a phony birth certificate issue. It would make conservatives look stupid, minimize the Tea Party and serve to confuse the electorate at a time when the economy is flagging and should be the top issue.
I agree with you 100%. And anyone spewing “it’s hopeless, Americans are all socialist idiots who spit on the Constitution, it’s all a clever plot by the genius Dems” - is very, very suspect.
