There will be others. Why do you think Ryan is giving the rebuttal tomorrow? For 2016. 2012 is already over.

Either that, or 10 Romneys in it to dilute the RINO vote. Where’s Rudy? Where’s Huntsman?

RE :”
I sure as hell hope not.’
Right now he's got the Mamma-Grizzly drawing the fire away from him. But laying low too long is the Fred Thompson strategy and wont work. Eventually he will have to come out of hiding, MSNBC seems to like him, at least Matthews anyway.
A good thing to hope for is for an articulate accomplished (like governor) 'conservative' (no TARP, no amnesty, no abortion past support) who doesn't have a bunch of basket-case sounding partisan past quotes that they will feel the need to run from, and who has not been over exposed, or under-experienced politically. We need someone to unite conservatives and moderates like Reagan did.

The problem is they only make a Reagan about once every hundred years. SO I’ll settle for someone I know who is a staunch conservative and hope for the best. My days of trying to decide “who could win” are long gone. They are either a genuine, proven conservative, or they won’t get my vote.

Huck and Romney are the way to almost ensure a 2nd fauxbama term... How anyone can take either of these guys seriously is beyond me.
To: 9YearLurker
Take them both out of the picture and substitute DeMint, Pence, Paul Ryan, or Bachmann.
Romney is a socialist and Huckabee is a banjo-playing, girly-boy, pansy.

If, for some reason those two are realistic possibilities, there is going to be a lot of these floating around the 'net.

Amen! Has everybody forgotten about the dog crate incident?
That showed a serious lack of empathy and common sense.

Also,I could be mistaken about this, but didn’t he have illegal aliens working at the Governor’s mansion in MA?

Here's a few possible signs that a timebomb candidate was nominated:
1) They change all their positions for the current campaign, they suddenly become born-again conservatives from a long RINO past, Recent example : John McCain
2) They get the nomination and run in the general election repudiating the ‘conservative’ positions/statements they took in the primary (where they sounded cool) .
3) Alternatively to ‘2)’, they get asked about the past statements and go into hiding so that they cant be asked anymore. Their campaign staff (experts) have warned them that their past statements are the ‘kiss of death’ to their election chances and maybe they will just go away after time. But they don't
