The term “in good conscience” refers to not violating one’s own conscience or doing something without feeling guilty.

It does not address whether the person is right or wrong in feeling this way.

I understand what you’re saying. I am saying that this view indicates a false understanding of “conscience,” which has to be based in an accurate of reality, at the very least. A good conscience requires accurate knowledge, not just positive feelings.
