If my wife spits out a kid while we are in Mexico, he is still a US Citizen.
Only in America do we offer citizenship for place of birth.
I think Canada may as well, but NO ONE else does.
And place of birth certainly is not the defining factor for citizenship anywhere in the world.
It MAY be a defining factor but it is not THE defining factor.

A natural born citizen is not the same as a U.S. citizen.

One has to be a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN to qualify to be president of the USA.
