Newt is in - with his amnesty call he will categorize with the Establishment/RINO side
Guliani might be in - he supposedly told Piers Morgan for a taped Monday's show that he will run as a "moderate" against Palin and will focus on Iowa & New Hampshire
Mitt is in - Guliani / Newt might hurt Mitts chances further by splitting the establishment vote
Cain is in
Pawlenty is in
Thune is looking into it
Huck doesn't appear to be in - rumors of his wife wanting to enjoy retirement from running for higher office but he might jump in late

I think Newt is a smart guy, but I can’t think of a situation where he would get my vote. I still see him sitting next to Pelosi on that bench (or whatever it was).

This is excellent news. We want as many RINOs as possible running to split the RINO vote.

telling them that he intends to make a run for president in 2012
For what party ?
To: Bigtigermike
Let’s not forget that the NEW republican Donald Trump (leftist democrat saying he’s a republican) may run as a republican.
1. Ruby G the cross dresser——— NO
2. Myth Romney aka Romneycare -— NO
3. DuhNewt the leftist ————— NO
4. Huckelberry fruad —————— NO
If ANY of these four win I will be staying home, it will mean our republic is DOA.
Palin/Bachman or Bachman/Palin

Newt is a good historian and speaker, but he has too much baggage. The msm will pump up any rino in the primary and tear them apart in the general.
To: Bigtigermike
Well, this was predictable. The RINOs are lining up to be seen (by the MSM) as the 'moderate' Republican which, of course, translates to the anti-Palin Republican. Then, the media will tell the RNC which of the 'moderates' is acceptable. Translation: has no chance of beating Obama. Same old, same old. These guys can go pound sand. No more RINOs eager to lose to Obama so they can keep the good-old-boy network intact and the gravy train running. I'm a TEA party supporter and a Palin backer. Although most of the people listed have some good qualities, I have no interest in these wannabes. If I have to write-in Palin in my state Republican primary, I will. I'm not playing this tired, fruitless 'pick the best loser' game with the GOP. Our country is at stake and I want an honest-to-God conservative as my candidate, not some compromise-happy 'moderate', like John McCain. Enough!

Freepers I gotta tell ya. I like Newt. I've read his political books. I've enjoyed his alternative historical fiction. I think he has some great ideas. I've followed his dicussions and I believe he has contributed a great deal to his country. However, the chances of his becoming the next POTUS are slim and none.
We all know that his chances are slim and none. Now we need to discuss his judgement. Since the real chances are slim and none why should he suck the $$$, talent, organization from other Conservative candidates because Newt has figured out the game of running for President?

TS

No thanks, Newt.
Of course he knows he can say bye bye to the Conservatives, He DOES understand that? Right?
I see every single inside the beltway type as a non starter. And Newt is as inside as it gets.
