(Reuters) - South Carolina unions filed suit on Thursday against new Republican Governor Nikki Haley and her administration, saying hostility toward unions and workers joining unions is unconstitutional.
The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and the South Carolina AFL-CIO alleges that Haley is violating the federal constitutional and statutory rights to free speech, free association and due process.
South Carolina is one of 22 "Right to Work" states and Haley said she will ensure that South Carolina workers are not compelled to join a union.

Missouri is looking at legislation to allow right to work. unions are already screaming.
Does this mean I can sue my congresscritter for calling me a Nazi?
Sounds like a great idea to me!!!!
Personally I’d like to see unions doing more of this kind of stuff. They need more attention given to them so people will learn their true colors. Kinda like the liberals have been doing the past two years. Bring it on!
Lawyers and unions: Scourge of America.
It’s mind boggling. They are suing her so she will not say negative things about unionization, claiming that her free speech infringes on their right to free speech.
What are they teaching in law schools? Obviously not elementary logic.
Nikki is trying to show how right-to-work brings business gushing in.
She will win this, and the state will advance.
Knuckledragging union thugs are really a bunch of morons. Just because their Commie’RAT massas can get away with calling everything “unconstitional”, it does not mean that they can.
I like her her already.
The Unions are organized Bigots, just like the KKK.
Can't wait for Olberdork, Chrissy the Prissy and Sergeant Schultz to get right on top of this hatred and vitriolic attack on the Governor because of her Race.
Are these f’ing union goons smoking crack? Where in the Sam Hill does the Constitution say anything about the ‘’right of the people to form unions will not be infringed’’? This is what a public school education will do to the simple minded. The US Constitution, your guide to tax-payer funded everything.
On the plus side, I suppose it means less money for them to spend on the next election.

Have you driven a Toyota, lately?

Only been in office a week and the AFL-CIO is suing her already, I like it.

Liberals/Socialists/Democrats can’t handle a Republican/Conserative
possessed of even a bit of melanin.
I can’t forget the vile profane abuse launced at an Asian guy that
participated at our peaceful protests during the 2000 Bush-Gore
election imbroglio at the Federal Building in West Los Angeles.
The general comment from impassioned liberals to the fellow was
“What the F-— are you doing with these people???”
(As in someone that wasn’t lilly-white necessarily must be lined up
in lock-step with the Democrats).
Wish I had a video-cam to record some of the vile crap hurled at
that guy.
I read a few years ago that union machinists for Boeing earned something like $150k per year plus benefits and OT. Their union more than anything else drove the manufacturing wing of Boeing out of Washington State.
I thought that a right to free association implied a right not to associate. The union goons are suing her because they cannot compel people to join their unions in SC, said compulsion being forced association, not free association.
Nope!
