China doesn’t bristle at anything. They know it’s all a game and they are posers. American exceptionalism is REAL. As Maria Bartiromo says, “Let’s not underestimate the power of freedom.”
Even liberals are taking up the cry of American exceptionalism, so stuff it.

The funny thing about the touting of American exceptionalism today vs, say post WWII, is that the US sought not only export democracy, but also, the economic benefits that come with it today.
Many in the US today and on the FR, want to promote American exceptionalism from a self annointed policeman point of view.
The reality is, China is becoming more like America, though not a full fledge democracy, Chinese people can come and go as they please and can practice in the free market. But along with becoming more like America, are the free market benefits of productivity, technology, economic might, etc. Something that many Americans now resent that the Chinese have acquired.
Stuff it? No I won't. As long as I see what is America's refusal to be benevolent with China's prosperity after preaching capitalism since WWII and then turning it all around when it appears China is participating, I will always give my perspective. America's self ordained position that she must remain the leading economic power in the world is nothing short of arrogant when you consider that China has 1.4 billion people vs the US 300 million.
American determination to be the most productive or have the highest standard of living, I can understand. But to insist that somehow the rise of an evil empire is on the horizon simply because China, a nation of 1.4 billion, is inching closer to developed world status and a leading economic power is at best arrogant.
