"Larson (Conn-1) just said repeal would deny “equal protection of the laws.”

The "equal protection argument" for Progressives is second only to the "for the common good, and to help those less fortunate".

IMHO, I am equally protected against paying for someone else's well-being and existence, just as much as they are responsible for their own situation. I don't buy the "poor, unfortunate, pre-existing condition" argument....at all.

If I choose a lifestyle to destroy myself, and then want everyone else to pay for my treatment; that's bullshit. If I or one of my family has a problem, WE will take care of it.

"From each, according to his abilities, and to each according to his needs" is NOT America, folks.

Unfortunately for your pocket book, emergency rooms are legally required to treat anyone who comes in. Who do you think pays for this?
