You may remember Dagan, refused to apologize for the use of British citizens' identities for the ID theft in March of 2010 when senior Hamas official Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was assassinated in a hotel room in Dubai on January 19, hours after he arrived in Dubai from Syria. The United Arab Emirates published photos and identifying information on 26 people suspected to have played a role in tracking and killing the Hamas official. Dubai police said the murder was carried out by a hit squad of at least 11 people carrying forged European passports: one French, three Irish, six British, and one German.

Iranian ‘Mossad agent’: I was trained in Israel
Iranian state television shows interview with man who claims he was trained in espionage by Israel and participated in the assassination of a nuclear scientist in Tehran last year.
[Monday]Iranian media reported Iran had arrested a spy network linked to the Mossad.
A remote-controlled bomb killed Ali-Mohammadi, a scientist at Tehran University on Jan. 12 last year.
In November, an Iranian nuclear scientist was assassinated and another seriously wounded in parallel hits in Tehran. All three attacks were blamed by Iranian authorities on the Mossad, as well as the British MI6 and American CIA.
The assassinations embarrassed the Iranian regime and security officials vowed to find the perpetrators.

If one claims to have been trained in "espionage" by Israel, that does not give one validity to claim to have been "trained" by the Mossad.
While the trainers may have been employed by the Mossad, the trainee has no right to make the claim of "Mossad" training.

It makes a person wonder why anyone who actually was involved would feel the need to confess in public.

Why does the public have a need to know any of this? Who couldn’t figure out on their own that when a virus hit the Iranian computers, it was most likely a covert ops program initiated by the West? I would expect al-Jazeera to publish the details and attributions—not the U.S. media. Why do the American people continue to tolerate this kind of subversion masquerading as freedom of speech and the public’s “right to know”? This paper needs to be shut down. Permanently. It has become an agent of a foreign power acting against the best interests of the U.S.
That was my reaction too. But its a good read and that’s how newspapers sell. At this point, the origins of Stuxnet are probably an “open” secret.

Shahram Amiri told Pakistani officials he had been kidnapped in the holy Saudi city of Medina during a pilgrimage in June last year, and drugged. He woke up in Arizona.
The US State Department insisted he had defected of his own accord and American officials dismissed his abduction story as a “fairy tale”, saying he had been paid $5m (£3.3m) by the CIA.
Amiri, 32, told the Pakistanis he wanted to go home because he missed his seven-year-old son and was worried about threats to his wife. He is now a pawn in a vicious propaganda war between Iran and the US, with one side claiming he was a double agent while the other says he spilled the secrets of the Iranian nuclear programme for years.
When the CIA arranges defections, it usually gets the families out. In this case, something went wrong. “The opportunity was lost,” said a US official. That failure left Amiri angry, prompting him to make contact with his wife and boy through YouTube videos.[the new spy way to make contact]

Report: Iran says American caught as spy
TEHRAN, Jan. 6. 11 (UPI) -- A 55-year-old American woman identified as Talayan Hall was arrested in Iran on espionage charges, an Iranian newspaper reported Thursday.
A report in the Farsi language IRAN daily said the woman was arrested by Iranian custom guards in Nordouz, northwest of Tehran.
The newspaper said the woman was found to be carrying "spying equipment in her teeth." It did not mention when the arrest took place.
The woman crossed into the country from Armenia and security officials discovered she had no visa to enter Iran, the report said.[I thought fake visas and passports were the normal spy card carrying equipment]
The woman's arrest had not yet been reported by other Iranian outlets and there was no official comment from government officials.

I remember Germany getting media grief as it was selling equipment to Iran's nuclear program, despite U.S. and United Nations sanctions; as the comment was made that Germany provides for another holocaust
BUT makes some sense to me now.

Thus the story falls under "extended news"
