Thousands of shoppers browsed for guns at a trade show in Tucson on Saturday, a week after a shooting rampage that killed six people and raised questions about permissive gun laws in the United States.
"People see it as either guns are going to get banned, or I'm going to get shot," said stall holder Randall Record, 27, explaining the mood at the Crossroads of the West Gun Show on the outskirts of the city. "Either way, it drives sales."
The show was held a week after college dropout Jared Lee Loughner allegedly opened fire on a crowd gathered outside a grocery store with semi-automatic pistol, killing a federal judge and a 9-year-old girl and four others.
Thirteen people were injured by the hail of bullets, including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who remains critically ill in a city hospital, shot through the head.

Sad isn't it... living in Lego-land and never having experienced the thrill of the world's finest trigger. I'm up to about four 1911s and want to add at least three more.
My favorite is this Colt WWI 1918:
I told him if he gets a railed 1911, I'd have him neutered! There are some things you don't do to a 1911. Hell, I don't even like skeletonized triggers and FCSs. :)
He has plenty of other HD/SD pistols/revolvers... Sigs, HKs, Walthers, Berettas, six Pythons, a Korth, etc. I think his night stand HD is a P220.
Ah! A purist!
You would be surprised how well that extra few ounces of metal forward of the trigger guard balances the gun. I have 1911s with rails and without, but I shoot better with the railed versions.
