Bill Clinton to Campaign with Rahm Emanuel in Chicago
Roll Call ^ | 1/13/11 | Tricia Miller

Posted on 01/13/2011 7:10:41 PM PST by markomalley

President Bill Clinton will appear at a campaign rally with Rahm Emanuel in Chicago next week.

Emanuel, a former Congressman and former chief of staff to President Barack Obama, is running for mayor of Chicago. Emanuel was a senior aide to Clinton when he was president.

The event will be held at the Chicago Cultural Center at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Emanuel’s campaign first announced Clinton would campaign with him in late December but didn’t set a date at that time.

The mayor’s office is open since longtime Mayor Richard Daley announced he wouldn’t run for re-election. Among Emanuel’s opponents are former Sen. Carol Moseley Braun and former Daley Chief of Staff Gery Chico.

The election will be held Feb. 22.

I guess the first ballerina mayoral candidate needs to have the first black president to back him up.

Yup. A pitch for the black vote. What Rahm boy doesn’t know is Clinton is the kiss of death for any Democrat who needs him to campaign for him.

Why bother? Why not just deem Rahm elected?

Hey Rahm - what’s up with Ashley? Odd way to go, and the timing was perfect no?

I missed it, did they ever qualify Rahm as a legal resident?
We already have ONE illegal (R)esident....lol

Maybe Bubba will stand on the bed of a pickup truck to give his speech, just as he did in my Texas town. Do they even use pickups in Mobtown......seems they’d be needed.

I didn’t attend, lol.

It doesn’t matter. Rahm has already won. He who controls the machine, wins the vote. Might as well not even bother to have people vote.

.....”Bill Clinton will appear at a campaign rally with Rahm Emanuel in Chicago next week”.....

I thought that I read that Willie was going to sit this one out??

Must be that the new 66% increases in Illionis taxes gives Bubba the opportunity to get some serious signing on cash to press the flesh for the corrupt Rahm Deadfish Chicago schmuck!

I have a King Ranch white pickup truck too!! Whattcha sayin?

I didn’t want to see Bubba. It was around the town square, easy to see him. I saw him on the 6pm news.

I think Rahm is “deemed” legal, whether or not he is.

LOL, I remember Bubba’s pickup truck speech in your town. He gave astroturf a whole new meaning.

Bubba’s being awfully helpful, as the latest White House and economic appointees have been his guys. Their recent skull session at the White House was followed by 0’s “pivot” to more centrist-appearing words and images. That will last until the day after the election next year.

I just wonder what Bubba’s reward is for all this helpfulness.
