Do a search sometime on fluoridated water. I believe you will be glad it is not in your water.
Now for you liking bacon. It is less harmful than a lot of things the government tells you to eat.
The fat in bacon is good for you just like the fat in butter, whole milk and cheese. They don’t cause near the bad effects their replacements do. Margarine and other trans fats were created in a lab. They are not natural. Our body cannot process them.
Good fat does not cause body fat to a harmful degree, excess sugar does. Especially in the form of High Fructose Corn Syrup.
Next time you are in a grocery store, look at the ingredients and calorie info on the low fat diet products. They all have low fat calories but they more than make up for it by adding sugar. Usually in the form of corn syrup thanks to the corn lobby.
Look how many of those “diet’ products are in the carts of people who are over weight.
I lost 60 lb and my wife 20. We have kept it off by not eating the things our government advises us to eat.
We are in our 60s and are on no pharmaceuticals and have no health problems. We do take supplements.
If you want to know more about the hazards of Fructose you can read it here. The first movie at the link is an hour and a half. I watched it a couple of times. Most of the info is in Dr. Mercola’s comment. Both he and the doctor in the film makes it clear it is in almost every processed food we eat and causes most of the health problems we have today. Sugary drinks are the worst. BVB
I’m a big fan of honesty and ethics. Bernays promoted both good and bad products and politics but my real issue with him was the manipulation of the masses he obviously felt superior to.
Seems we have similar information and life styles.
Husband has been reading alternative/integrative docs newletters for years. He informs himself just about daily, and family turns to him for info and advice. He has followed nutrition for over 40 years - since college days!
We have also done battle in our area regarding fluoridation in drinking water. Whenever the subject subsides and seems to go away, back it comes when no one’s looking, it seems.
Thank goodness for water filtering, and good bottled water, at least - - -
