Oh but remember how during the gay marriage debate, we are told it’s ridiculous to ask won’t this lead to legalizing polygamy?
I know a little about muslim polygamy. It is my understanding only the first wife has inheritance rights, etc. Muslim men often hide their 2nd wife from the 1st, and visa versa. Also it’s not uncommon for a muslim man to be shot when wife #1 finds out.
I don’t think the muslim practices justify govt benefits for wife #2.
