According to a statewide poll by Fairleigh Dickinson Universitys PublicMind research center, New Jersey Governor
Chris Christies job approval is now at 53 percent. According to the same poll, only 36 percent of New Jerseyans disapprove.
Moreover, those polled were found to have very strong feelings either for or against the governor. Twenty-eight percent replied saying they have a very favorable opinion of the governor and 27 percent said they have a very unfavorable opinion.
Along those same lines, 28 percent strongly approve of Christies handling of the governorship, while 22 percent strongly disapprove.
Christies approval rating has gone up compared to previous polling. In November, Christie had a 49 percent approval rating, with 39 percent disapproval. In October, his favorability was at 51 percent, compared to 37 percent disapproval.
According to the director of the poll, Peter Woolley, Christies handling of fiscal issues, specifically the fact he hasnt increased taxes, is responsible to the governors increased popularity.
Voters are focused on finances, theirs and the states, said Woolley. Voters didnt get a tax hike at the state level as they did in past crises. The key is whether, or how much, they might get I local property tax hikes later this year or next.
Did they poll in Newark, Paterson, Trenton, E.Orange, Irvington?
I don’t think so.
If they polled out here in Warren County it would be 90%.
He’s got his own issues but we’re keeping him in New Jersey until he’s completed two terms. There is way too much work to do here to let him go sooner.
LOL! It would be 100% here in Warren County if we didn’t have to factor in “Abbott District” Phillipsburg...

Sounds like New Jersey has a Governor “of the people, by the people and for the people!”
Yay, Gov. Christie! Go! Go! Go!
Now - about Washington . . . . .
We need him in Washington.
With the things he has said and done, it makes me feel great that he is successful. In NJ to boot!
My dream world...:
Palin\Bachman 2012, 2016
Bachman\Christie 2020, 2024
Christie\West 2028
Republican “elitists” have believed and practiced otherwise and it has cost us all, dearly.
