If I recall correctly from O'Reilly last night, the (alleged) perp's mother is a county govt supervisory level type; and, the (again alleged) perp has a loooong history of arrests but miraculously no rap sheet.
(Thus the suspicion of potential intervention at the Sheriff's level. Someone will doubtlessly ask the question, was there any...ahem... quid pro quo? And one supposes that it needs to be asked and answered.)
