There’s no way Trump is running. This is just the kind of thing he’s always done to “tease” the media into giving him free PR.

As for Savage, I feel sad for him that he’s so desperate for the approval of “important” people that he would endorse Donald Trump.

Trump whose own clothing line is made in China.

Trump who supported the impeachment of George W Bush on the grounds that he lied about WMD in Iraq.

Trump who said (on Larry King’s show) that he would be very supportive of either Rudy Giuliani or Hillary Clinton being elected President.

Trump who said of TARP: “It’s almost socialistic, but I like it, really like it.”

Trump who said of Bloomberg: ““I think he’s a fantastic person. He’s somebody that I know and respect. He’s been a wonderful mayor of this city; he’s done a great job.”

Trump, who has been married and divorced how many times? Had how many extra-marital affairs, declared bankruptcy how many times...leaving his financiers holding the bag and his employees without their final paychecks?

That Trump? Please, Savage, save whatever’s left of your credibility and retract your hasty endorsement just because the guy told you he read your book. Trump is the ultimate flim-flam man, and he played you like a cheap fiddle.

Good point made on today’s show. The free trade numskulls never seem to understand that FT doesn’t exist in reality. What happens is that smarter nations will out-trade and out-compete you. Japan in the 1980s was dumping stuff in the US while we couldn’t access their market to save our lives. They won and rightly so because we were too stupid to compete with them or fight their trade practices.

I would vote for Donald Trump over Obama. Love Palin, but she cannot be elected because she is polarizing.

IMHO Palin would be perfect for the Republican Chairmanship. She could weed out all the RINOs which would save the party.

The only point you made that was some what valid was TARP. All the rest is complete B.S. points.

China is about to smoke our A$$. We are finished as a nation if things do not chain. There is no way our wages can compete with China and India.

Who do you think is the best candidate that is probably running for President?

You’re right, China is about the smoke our A$$. I’m not even sure that it isn’t too late to stop that from happening, but try we must. Now do I think Trump is the one to save us from the pit of Chinese manufacturing? Trump has a retail line of Trump-branded men’s clothing. He has it manufactured in China. If he was serious about pulling this country back from the abyss of trade disparity with the Chicoms, he would have his clothing line proudly display a “Made in USA” tag. He doesn’t. Trump’s a joke.

I get it that the fact that he’s on the record stating he’d happily support Hillary Clinton for president of the United States doesn’t automatically disqualify him from consideration by you. I think many many conservatives on this website would strongly disagree with you. Many conservatives would also object to his public comments endorsing the likes of Giuliani, Bloomberg and Jesse Ventura.

Who do I think is the best candidate that is probably running for President? At this point, I don’t have much of a sense of exactly who might run. I think Romney, Huckster, Palin, Gingrich, Bachmann, Giuliani and now Trump are the only ones who’ve indicated they’re considering running, or at least who have not explicity said they won’t run. Of that field, I find the majority of them contemptable. The only two of that field I could consider supporting are Palin or Bachmann. I’d truly love to see Jim DeMint, LTC Allen West, and possibly a few others, throw their hats in the ring. But, I’m not encouraged that this will happen.

I’ll give you this... I do not know enough about Trump so I will back off on that for now.

I do like the candidates you like, but only two Palin and Bachmann are probably running for the office of the President. I don’t think Palin can get elected. I like Palin, but I don’t think she is electable because she is polarizing (although its B.S. crap against her). IMHO, she would be best as Republican chairman. She could clean house in the party and bring it back to it’s conservative roots.

Moreover, the incumbent is usually favored unless he is polarizing (like Obama). So if you run a polarizing candidate vs. an incumbent polarizing candidate. Then the election will most likely default to the incumbent, and that means 4 more years of Obama.

I heard Herman Cain may run too. He is solid, and I think could beat Obama in an election.

Where have you been? Did you get approval on your extended sabbatical from FR?

I think the reason why Trump endorsed Bloomberg was because the Democrat that ran against Bloomberg was a communist. So your choice in New York was Bloomberg (the phony Republican) or a Communist who ran as a Democrat? I know Bloomberg is a joke as a Republican, but given the choice... No one outside of New York really new. I think even Rush and Hannity endorsed Bloomberg at the time of his first election for Mayor too.

Jessie Ventura I believe is a straight up guy. We need more of that in politics IMHO. Nevertheless, I know a lot of people (Republicans too) that endorsed Ventura when he ran for Governor of Minnesota. I think Rush and Hannity liked Governor Ventura, and it was not until after he left office that they questioned him over the September 11th stuff.

If you know different, then please let me know. I guess we will all know later on this year. Really do hope we get a good conservative in office. Our Republic will not be around if we continue to spend at the rate we have been. God help us!
