Looks like someone was trying to get to the plumbing.... which reminds me of: “Sam the Plumber” from this family:

Only two from this family was arrested in the massive arrest this month.

Kives, salt/pepper. . .plant. ..comet; dishtowels. So far 'normal' and then, the yellow tape, Windsor chair. . . and then, 'missing pieces' that speak to the puzzle that has yet to be solved.

Now that I look at the pics I posted of the kitchen, the floorboards are missing all the way across the front of the counter, not just in front of the dishwasher or sink.

Some have surmised a new dishwasher but, that thing matches the cabinets exactly - doubtful it’s new.

And, I doubt the entire floor would need to be removed to fix a pipe.
