As I remember it, the man who admitted to breaching the passport files worked for John Brennan, Obama’s head of national security. Brennan was at the time, handling Obama’s campaign security. The man who breached the files, (his name might have been Harris) was cooperating with the FBI and was waiting in his car for a secret meeting with an FBI official, when he was shot by a sniper and killed. End of story, end of passport breaching investigation.

The Washington Times reported that Lt. Harris was a key witness cooperating with the federal probe into the State Department security breach. Lt. Harris’ mother, Cleopatra Harris, told ABC affiliate WJLA-TV that she believed her son’s murder may have been due to his role in the federal investigation.”
Yes, that’s the story, or at least a small part of it. Brennan was just a part of the Obama security team during the campaign, now he’s the top US security guy. Really makes you feel secure, doesn’t it?
We can only guess how he got the job.

His first name was Lieutenant.
“Lieutenant” was a name given to him by his parents, not a rank he attained.
This name was a family (tribal) thing.
