My last ping was at post 1550. We are all frustrated with the appearance of a lack of progress in the investigation, given that we have found no new news from the investigative sources recently. Here are some highlights of our posts since my last ping:

1605: smoothsailing has posted a link to a Memorial web site for John Wheeler
1616: blueplum advances new theories regarding recent clues and remarks by the neighbors
1624: apocalypto notes that our thread was linked at a blog regarding unsolved or cold cases
1626 & 1627: smoothsailing posted more photos and links to Wheeler memorials on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund site and the Smithsonian Institution's Reflections on the Wall site

FReepmail Albion Wilde to be ADDED or REMOVED from a pinglist on the Wheeler case. If you received this ping, you're ALREADY ON.
Did you have a look-see at the BC?
Wheeler will be shuffled to the back of the cold case files as “they” hope it is soon forgotten.
Thanks for the reminder; albeit a sad one, that so little progress has been made. All more than ‘unfair’ given Wheeler’s ‘who’ and his contributions. He deserves better. As of now; does not appear he is going to get it. But hey. . .time has a way of unraveling circumstances and perhaps, it will for Jack Wheeler. I just hope, sooner; rather than much later. . .
Thanks for the updates!
Unless proven otherwise, I still believe he was poisoned.
Thanks, Albion Wilde, for the ping. This remains one of the saddest current events in recent memory. The fact that it remains unsolved and there seem to be no leads is so unfitting to the legacy of this man. Was there ever a public disclosure of the toxicology report? I don’t remember reading about one.
BTW, that West Point cadets picture is breathtaking.
Thanks Albion.
bump for Wheeler
Thank you for the ping to an update.
I have to believe that Jack Wheeler’s friends from West Point will not let this investigation rest.
Thanks for the ping!

He was at the Nemours Building, a historic, 14-story landmark with shops and a cafe in the lobby, apartments and business suites on the upper floors.
In the midafternoon, police say, several people saw him wandering around the lobby, looking disoriented. They asked if he needed help. Wheeler declined. He went to the 10th-floor offices of the Connolly Bove Lodge & Hutz law firm and asked to speak to a managing partner. The firm has no connection to the newly hired Wheeler family lawyer Connolly, and its unclear why Wheeler stopped there.
Wheeler didnt stay long. He left before speaking to the partner, stopping to ask for train fare on the way out of the office.
At around 8:30 p.m., surveillance cameras show him leaving the building. By then, he was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, clothing that friends and family say they had never seen on him. As he walked out, he pulled the hood over his head.
(Because the person who walked out at 8:30pm wasn't Jack)
That thought has entered my mind several times.
What are your thoughts on that, who was it - was Jack already dead?
Dover, Del. Veterans from across the state will celebrate the first Vietnam Veterans Day at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, at the Kent County Veterans Memorial Park, 756 S. Little Creek Road, Dover.
Organizers also will honor the memory of the late John P. Wheeler and host his widow Katherine Klyce who will be welcomed by veterans, womens groups and elected officials...

Thank you for posting this.
There is an inside location, in case of rain.
It will be a fitting tribute from all the Vietnam Veterans who are able to attend and reminder to us all.
I do not know. Remember there was a man reported wearing the same 'hooded jacket' sneaking around the neighbor's house, and throwing some bug/rat bombs on the floor.
- was Jack already dead?
My guess is YES.
What and where was he during the time between 'early afternoon' and 8:30pm ????
Yes, I remember the description of the guy walking away from the smoke bombing. I often wondered about the last description of him since his friends and family have said he never wore clothing like that.
Good question on the time void. There are tunnels that go from Nemours to DuPont also. I fear we may never know.
This is where the memory of John Wheeler is headed and will remain until his murder is solved and/or the authorities release as much information as possible while asking for help from the public.

SCAM OF THE DAY. DID YOU AUTHORIZE JOHN WHEELER TO CLAIM YOUR FUND

It is way past time for the authorities to sh!t or get off the pot. Beau Biden needs to explain his involvement. If the warrants were not sealed because of security issues, if they do not contain information vital to the investigation, they need to be released to the public.
I keep emailing Web sites because I can think of little else to do to keep the case alive.
That is a great thing to do. I believe the case is actively being suppressed for some political reason.
Thanks for the link. We need to keep his case alive.
