Yep, I tell ya, Sarah Palin must be some kind of superpowers. She can program a guy to go on a mass shooting rampage and have it planned out a year before anyone knew who she was(Outside of Alaska)..so the left continues to say what a stupid woman Sarah Palin is yet she is capable of THIS
And yep, it must be George Bush’s fault, he was President at the time..wait for that to be the latest media excuse for this guy after the “It’s Sarah Palin’s fault” has run its course..they did the same thing against Richard Jewel, and it failed, MISERABLY

He’s not guilty until a jury of his peers SAYS SO. He’s not even accused until a prosecutor SAYS SO. Therefore, “suspected” is probably the best word right now.

Is Suspected..???For God's sake he was seen doing it and caught in the act. Can't these media idiots ever get over their addiction to political correctness???

You're a suspect until you're convicted. Which he surely will be. The terminology is a mere formality.

So the initial reports are true, he was mad at her for not being the Lib he thought she was.

Exactly, but you'll not hear the Slime or any other media outlet admit it.

It's those damn conservative Teabaggers. /sarc

Count 3, regarding the killing of Judge Roll, seems a little curious.

As I understand it, Judge Roll just happened to have stopped by the Safeway on the way home.

How is that “in performance of official duties”?

Everytime someone says “teabaggers” are guilty the reply should be “You’re blaming gays?”

he will be found guilty by reason of insanity, sent to a mental ward, where after a few years some ‘lib shrink’ will find him cured, and then the push for release will begin and some lib judge will release him.

Remember John Hinckley Jr who shot Ronald Reagan? This will be the same.

Law needs to be revised to read guilty by reason of insanity, and after the mental hospital, prison term issued.

“...that GWBush would make things so bad that the US would elect a black man...”

.
They could at least have elected an elligible black man, but they’re not even sure of that with a pappy from Kenya.

Now WHY did the newsfolks decide to TELL US THE TIME, PLACE, AND MOVEMENT on this “suspected assassin”?

Gee, back in 1963, an ABC guy was telling us when Oswald was going to be moved, the next day .....

NEED I ASK MORE?

While that is the eventuality that the left hopes for, there's a bit of a fly in the ointment. The death of Judge Roll allowed the feds to get their foot in the door, which makes things a little dicier for Loughner. But, what will quite possibly put him on death row, where he belongs, is the death of the little girl. She was the granddaughter of a football coach, and not the granddaughter of some 'nobody'. In short Loughner took the lives of at least two people who 'counted'. This may well do him in.

To my mind, he should face the ultimate punishment for his crime no matter who the victims were, but such is the state of 'justice' in these times that only crimes against the 'somebodies' are given more than cursory examination, more's the pity...

This became a fed case the instant Ms. Gifford's was shot.

The press, the sheriff have set him up as a nut job, this is a federal case as well as a state case. Feds come first. State may well give him the DP, but from experience we know that takes at least a decade or more to happen. Texas is the only state that seems to have it right on that issue.

Federal trial will come first. And if they find him insane, that influences anything done at the state level. Victims can go after him privately, but we know that is usually useless..i.e. OJ. Since he is just 22 he has nothing of value to go after.

Then you have questions like will they try each case individually or as a group. I foresee endless rounds of delays, (stalls)for at least 3-4 years before a trial. Then another 4-5 years or more of appeals, especially if the DP is involved, then appeals are ENDLESS. The wheels of justice grind VERY SLOW.

30 day Mental eval is first on the agenda. Most always is.

Hinckley shot President Reagan and didn't do 1 day of prison time, just the pretrial lock up. Rest he spent in a mental hospital, where eventually some lib shrink declared him cured, and some lib judge ordered him released based on that lib shrinks opinion.

You don't get any more important than President.

Question now is does AZ have Victims Rights as either statutory or constitutional law. In TN we made them Constitutional. I doubt there are any federal Victims Rights, none that I've heard of anyway.

The use of “suspect” “suspected” “alleged” is decades old, at least, and stems from our having too much litigation in our society.

Thanks Sarah Barracuda:
did they mention how he had been planning this since 2007..now correct me if I'm wrong but the Tea Party, they didn't exist in 2007
Thanks plangent:
For my money, this started back in Dec. 1998 when Alec Baldwin told Conan O'Brien: "if we were in another country... we would stone Henry Hyde to death and we would go to their homes and kill their wives and their children. We would kill their families, for what they're doing to this country."
Thanks LostInBayport:
Not to mention that not many people outside of Alaska knew who Sarah Palin was at that time.
