The County needs to ask for his immediate resignation. No Sheriff or Chief with an ounce of professionalism spouts off after such a major event. Most LEO in a position of leadership have the self discipline and common sense not to use such as an event as this as their personal agenda political soap box. His insane judgmental political comments were out within minutes. He needs to be fired and other agencies need to refuse to hire him.
Sounds a little like the prosecutor in the Duke Lacrosse case.
The fact he has been employed in law enforcement for 50 years is scary.
