To: Yardstick

It’s a surveyor symbol and I have seen it used before. It’s not outrageous just odd.

The whole issue is ridiculous but it would be nice to find some evidence that it’s a standard map symbol. Then we could wave it in their faces and shut them up. Unfortunately I’ve searched all over and can’t find such a symbol. The closest match is the USGS principal point symbol but it’s not quite the same. Maybe someone will come up with a map or something that proves the point.
