A classmate of the man accused of shooting Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords this morning describes him as "left wing" and a "pot head" in a series of posts on Twitter this afternoon.
Caitie Parker did not immediately respond to our request for an interview, but her "tweets" in the hours after the shooting paint a picture of Jared Loughner as a substance-abusing loner who had met Giffords before the shooting. She says, Loughner described the congresswoman as "stupid and unintelligent."
We've confirmed that Parker and Loughner went to school together at Mountain View High School in Tucson and that both attended Pima Community College, so her claims of knowing Loughner seem to be legit.
Parker "tweets" that she and Loughner were in the band together and were friends until 2007 when he became "reclusive" after getting alcohol poisoning and dropping out of college.

Absolutely true, the left will (and already are) falsely making this guy out to be a right wing nut; however I refuse to lower myself to the depths of their moronic political discourse and falsely call him a leftist.

It wasn’t a “rally,” just a “meet-and-greet” out front of a grocery store with a couple card tables and a banner between pillars. At least one report said there were maybe “twenty” gathered around.
They declined to say if there was video from the store.
In 2011, it’s hard to imagine no one would be taking cellphone video from the parking lot even with shots fired. There seems to be video of everything happening in public these days.
His ramblings are incoherent, he’s psychotic, incapable of any meaningful understanding of any philosophical point of view, leftist or otherwise. He may have regurgitated some left wing nonsense, but the overarching chaotic nature of his diatribes was psychotic parroting of random disconnected bits and pieces.
Say what you want but his friend and classmate is calling him a Leftist. He may be a nutty Leftist, but a Leftist nonetheless.
Rise above the blame game. There are psychotics that self identify as both left and right wing and are all are capable of unspeakable violence because they’ve had a break with reality. If they self identify as a Martian, that doesn’t make them one. His level of disassociation from reality goes way beyond nutty. Barney Frank is nutty, this guy is living in world of chaotic random neuron firings. He’s like Hinckley or Berkowitz, he’s not like Obama’s buddy Ayers. That's the problem. He probably wasn't actually TAKING them. In fact, he was probably never diagnosed with a mental condition, until now. Too late.
Since he was living at home, I lay this at his mother's feet for not getting him some kind of help years ago. She ignored the problem hoping it was a "passing thing". Everyone else that knows him, including the local Community College, knows this guy had serious mental issues.

Not so, while Ayers did indeed do this this, Loughner’s murders were more akin to those of Berkowitz.
Again I say that is no different from any Democrat that wants Universal Health-care, a living wage, censorship of dissenting opinions, free housing for the homeless, gun control to fight crime, Tax increases for the wealthy, providing Internet access to every home, appeasement of Muslims to end terrorism and a host of other insane and unstable ideas with no concept of any downside.

There is a profound difference. Liberals suffer from faulty logic, they think A plus B equals D, when in reality it equals C (i.e. higher taxes will always lead to increased total tax revenue, which of course is not always the case). Psychotics “think” A plus B equals goldfish; bizarre random and insane.
