A viral video vaulted Ted Williams and his golden voice to fame, but the real hero of this story is the woman he left behind.
Patricia Kirtley raised four daughters alone after Williams split 23 years ago and dove down the rabbit hole of drugs.
Not only that, Kirtley took in the baby boy the radioman had with another woman and raised him as her own.
Oh, and by the way, she's partially blind.

I AM SO SICK OF THIS STORY AND THESE CONTINUED POSTS!!! The guy is a BUM/PANHANDLER that screwed up his own life and the life of those around him.
I watched the video with his mother who is 90. She was not happy he said 92. She sounds like a very nice lady and she is not very happy with what he did in the past. Maybe he can make some amends but the daughters don’t sound like they miss him. The wife sounds like a good woman too. Sad story.
The more this turd gets vetted the worse he smells. Whole sorry fraud is going to blow up by another week or so.
I worked in radio for years, and knew scores of professional announcers. This guy’s voice isn’t all that. I think the story is dumb, and he got a break after the video went viral that he did not deserve. JMHO.

Watched him on the “Today Show” yesterday with his mother. She didn’t sound too confident he’ll stay clean.
I think this is going to blow up in everyone’s face.

Everytime I hear Ted's voice, it will remind me of the NINE kids he abandoned.
I know a turd that abandoned 300 million people and should be vetted.
What’s done is done and I wish him the best in turning his life around. For a man his age, two years sober isn’t a lot, but if he can stay clean maybe he can salvage some kind of relationship with his children. I don’t think the odds are in his favor but that’s what I hope for.
His ex-wife and her family sound like remarkable people. Thank God the children had some good people in their lives to help raise them.
Lets hope, Williams can find the same sourse of strength.

Nine abandoned kids and wife... drugs, robberies, escapes, forgeries, thefts... and a partridge in a stolen pear tree...are all things I'll will be thinking about when I hear the "goden-pipes" of old Ted.
The main stream media have a NEW victim(this pan handler) to distract from massive in your FACE lies being told by displace democrats on their out of power..
Some people see a story of a man with a gift ... I see a story of a man who has squandered every gift he’s ever been given. Why should this one be any different?
I truly hope he gets it together, and that his abandoned family gets their cut before he croaks — and I truly doubt it will happen.

I must admit, I liked the story until I saw the meeting with his mom. Something about the meeting convinced me he is a full fledged con artist who will exploit the charity he is being offered and show his true colors soon. The meeting wasn't a 'feel-good' moment for me, it was a 'feel used' moment.

Thanks for posting this. I, too, like most of America, fell for the the heart-rendering story of a guy down on his luck having it all turn around by some random act. I heard him say on the Today show he is the “Susan Boyle” of broadcasting. I don’t think so.
