Of the candidates for Chicago mayor, former Sen. Carol Moseley Braun has benefited most from the recent shrinking of the field, but former Rep. Rahm Emanuel still leads by a healthy margin, according to the first poll released since state Sen. James Meeks and Rep. Danny Davis dropped out.

Emanuel had 42 percent of likely city voters in the poll to Braun’s 26 percent second-place showing — a 16-point lead — according to the poll conducted for the city’s Teamsters union council and reported Friday by the Chicago Sun-Times.

Former city schools chief Gery Chico took 10 percent of the vote, while City Clerk Miguel del Valle had 7 percent. The poll of 500 likely voters was conducted by Anzalone Liszt Research Tuesday through Thursday and carries a margin of error of 4.4 points.

Like we’re suppose to believe that there’s going to be a “real” election.

To be honest, what’s the difference between Emmanuel and Braun?

I can only imagine what it would be like living in Chicago again and having to look at a ballot to vote for mayor. It would be like going to a deli and being told by the proprietor; “We have no Chicago Hot Dog! We have no hot pastrami sandwich! Quit asking me for things not on the menu! We only have a Turd Sandwich, now what do you want on your Turd Sandwich?!”

The same Unions that got Dingy Harry reelected will get the Ballet dancer elected as Mayor of Chicago.

Chicago is a toilet that needs to be flushed. Rahm and Braun are just floating proofs.

Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

He would not have announced were the deal not already made. An election in Chicago is purely a waste of money. It is a civic celebration of sorts but it does not choose anyone for anything. It is how new officials are announced.
