The law that I authored in 2006, mandating 854 miles of double border fence across the smuggling corridors of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas has not been complied with in that only about 700 miles of “some type” of barriers( in some cases, simple vehicle barriers that pedestrians can step over} have been built.
