I think that Palin knows that her chances are nill and that she wields far more influence doing what she is doing right now- activism.
She has been unusually quiet lately. Is her son still in the military? Except for some Twitter gossip recently I haven’t seen a statement on DA/DT or any of the lameduck activity.
I think that Sarah has no intentions to run. I suspect that she thinks that she can do the conservative cause more good by continuing to do what she is currently doing.
