The ONLY reasons her numbers are down in Alaska are:
She has had NATIONAL media attacking her for two plus years straight. None of it having to do with her time in office or her record. There is no other sitting governor or former governor in the country that has been attacked like this. All print media, broadcast & cable TV. Pundits and op-ed pages.
There is a contingent of people who are still angry that she resigned before finishing her term who will not forgive her for not doing so. These are the same people who ignore the fact that the very ethics rules that helped push her out of office were finally changed so it doesn’t happen to a future governor....and they were changed a month ago.
Depending on which poll you use, Palin’s poll ratings were between 85% and 90% when McCain tapped her for his ticket.
And btw, she would carry Alaska if she were on the ticket (top or bottom) today. One of my best friends is the GM of one of the major Anchorage TV stations there.
Because of every thing you wrote, she could never be elected Pres. At least Huntsman (about whom I know nothing) is immune from these attacks as he was BHO’s choice for Amb. He’s a RINO? What’s that? From all I read he’s very conservative on pro busness issues. I don’t care if he’s Mormon. Is that what this is all about?
